Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi JKIA (Airport).
Upon landing at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport Kenya Nairobi, You will be met and received by a warmly African way of welcome by one of Game Africa Safari Holidays Tours airport representative who will then introduce you to your guide for this trip.
You will then be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay waiting for the next day trip departure. Dinner and overnight at Nairobi Stanley Hotel / Nairobi Serena safari lodge Hotel/ Nairobi Eka Hotel or any of similar depending on your comfort level preference and budget.
Day 2: Nairobi / Samburu big cat Adventure tours.
Morning picks up from your Hotel by your Guide, clear the balances if you had not and then set out to Samburu National park for the excellent view and close encounters with the big cat family. Day 3: Full day spent Exploring Samburu Safaris
You will encounter the animals and vegetation that are typical of this region and cannot be found somewhere else apart from here. The animals vary from the Grevy’s Zebra, the Reticulated Giraffe the generuk also known as the giraffe antelopes, the beifa oryx, the Somali Ostrich not to mention the obviously seen platoon of elephants, the cheetah, the leopard, and the lions.
The best feature of Samburu is not just the wildlife of the picturesque surroundings, but the fact that it is one of the lesser visited regions in Kenya giving you a complete set of Kenya Safari adventure away from the crowd of cars and lodges.
The peaceful atmosphere and the authentic wilderness experience set it apart from the better-known wildlife reserves in Kenya, there is plentiful wildlife and the bird watching is especially good. The reserve is fairly hot and semi-arid, making for easy game viewing in this harshly beautiful terrain where wildlife abounds along the Uaso Nyiro River, the park’s only source of drinking water.
Day 4: Samburu/ Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Check out after breakfast and drive south to the Sweetwaters Sanctuary for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Visit the remarkable Chimpanzee and Rhino Sanctuaries. Incorporated within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the sanctuary is the only place in Kenya where the highly endangered and remarkably intelligent chimpanzee can be seen and houses the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. Dinner and overnight stay Sweet Waters Tented Camp, experiencing the charming ambiance of under-canvas living.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru best Birding Trails
Today after breakfast you descend into the Rift Valley via Thomson’s Falls to Lake Nakuru National Park for lunch. Here, due to an abundance of algae in the lake, flamingoes famously line the shores sometimes (in season) all that can be seen is an incredible moving mass of pink! Enjoy an afternoon game drive hopefully spotting beautiful flamingos on the lake and the resident rhino. Thereafter you will be checked in at Lake Elementaita Serena Camp/ Lake Nakuru Sarova Lion Hills or any of similar where you will spend your overnight
Day 6: Lake Nakuru/ Masai Mara National Game Reserve
A drive across the lunar landscape of the Great Rift Valley will take you to Kenya’s best-known game reserve the Maasai Mara. Check in at the Mara Serena Lodge before you begin to explore the rolling hills and plains for a wonderful sight of the great numbers of different species of animals found here. Two days filled with game viewing activities to look for the park’s more than 60 species of animals, and perhaps see a lion kill.
This is where the great migration of the wildebeest takes place at the end of June and extends to early September.
Day 7: Maasai Mara trailing the big five and the Wildebeest Migration.
Full day spent exploring the Masai Mara game reserve in search of the big five as they follow on the heels of the wildebeest Masai Mara Great Migration Trails. Check out of Mara serena safari lodge, Mara sarova Game lodge, Mara samba lodge, Mara Sopa lodge for mid-range and Ilkeliani Tented camp for the economy and proceed for further game drives in the vast Masai Mara plains in search of the big 5 – as you trail the wildebeest herds.
A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Masai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to October. The reserve abounds with birdlife since the dose to about 452 species has been recorded. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park
Day 8: Maasai Mara big 5, Great Migration and Victoria Adventure
Early check out after breakfast and dive to the border point of Isebania where you will cross the border into Tanzania, and meet our Tanzanian driver. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route to the Speke Bay Lodge situated on the shores of Lake Victoria. The afternoon is free to take optional excursions such as a canoe-trip on Lake Victoria to a fishing village, a mountain bike trip through Masamba hills, fishing on Lake Victoria, a lake cruise or a bird walk.
(NOTE: Today’s drive is very long from the Mara Serena Lodge to Speke’s Bay and can take upward of 8+ hours depending on road conditions, game sightings en-route as well as the border crossing time from Kenya into Tanzania at Isebania)
Day 9: Lake Victoria Speke Bay Lodge / Tanzania Serengeti Adventures.
Morning breakfast followed by 3 to 4 hrs drive to the Serengeti Plains, game watching all day en route to the Serengeti Serena Lodge/ Serengeti Sopa lodge / Serengeti Mbuzi Mawa Safari lodge or any of similar depending on your budget.

After breakfast depart in your 4×4 safari vehicle towards the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, stopping to visit the Olduvai Gorge, site of archaeological findings, where traces of pre-historic man dating back to 3.5 million years were discovered, and have a picnic Lunch en route. Arrive in the late afternoon with late lunch in the lodge at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge or any of similarly located at the rim of the crater in time to view the magnificent sunset.
