DAY 0: Nairobi Airport Pick up / the Emakoko – Game Africa Africa Boutique lodge in Nairobi National Park
On arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure residences at the Emakoko – Boutique lodge in Nairobi National Park
DAY 1: Nairobi excursion Tours – Elementaita National Park and Reserves.
After breakfast, you will be taken to the Giraffe Centre to feed the giraffes. You then head over to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to meet the elephants up close. After a visit to the Karen Blixen Museum, you will then have lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens before heading off to Lake Elementaita. Dinner and overnight at Pelican safari lodge/ Elementata lodge or any of similar. Lake Elementaita Joining Safari tours can always be organized for solo travelers.
Day 2: Elementaita Bird watching safaris – Game Africa tours and Travel.
Morning bird walks to try and identify available species like the Feral lovebird, Avocet, Klaas’ cuckoo, Glossy ibis, Black Heron, Red-billed Teal, Black-tailed godwit among others before the time for lunch at Lake Elementaita Lodge. An afternoon bird walks around the lodge environs before the time for Dinner and overnight at Lake Elementaita safari lodge (BLD).
Day3: Lake Elementaita – Lake Naivasha Joining Camping Safari
After breakfast, we depart from Elementaita for a scenic drive through the Great North road to Lake Naivasha arriving by mid-morning for bird walk before time for lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
Lake Naivasha being close to Lake Nakuru and 65 miles from Nairobi is freshwater Lake Naivasha. It was declared a bird sanctuary in 1967 and also supports pastoral industries of wine and flowers. During our full day field trip to Lake Naivasha, we study the birds of the region such as herons, fish eagles, ospreys, black crakes, and lily-trotters. Dominated by the shadow of Mt. Longonot, few lakes in the world have a more commanding or spectacular setting than Naivasha. We also have an excursion to the Elsa mere Center. Activities include reliving the experience of Joy Adamson and Elsa while viewing “Born Free.” Lake Naivasha being on the Rift floor is home to an incredible variety of species. Over 450 species have been recorded here. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Sopa Lodge or similar
Day 4: Lake Naivasha Hell’s Gate National Park – Game Africa Joining Camping/ lodge Adventures
After breakfast, a morning bird walks with the aim of viewing birds on the shores of the Lake with a few hours of relaxation before lunch. Afternoon visit to Hell’s Gate National Park, which is a breeding ground for vultures in Kenya e.g. Lammergeyer vultures we also anticipate for species like Imperial eagle, Schalow’s Wheatear, Chin-spot batis. Dinner & overnight tonight will be served at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge (BLD).
Day 5: Hell’s Gate National Park to Lake Nakuru National Park Tours – Game Africa Kenya midrange / Luxury Tented Camp Adventures
After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park known as “The pink Heart Of Kenya” because of the millions of Flamingoes that cover the lake with pink shine. Afternoon game/bird viewing, dinner, and overnight stay will be at Lake Nakuru Sarova Lion Hill hotel/ Flamingo Hill camp / Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge / Lake Nakuru lodge or similar.
Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park – Game Africa bird watching Joining lodges/ Camping Holidays
Today we will spend the whole day bird watching at the park and if lucky enough we have the chance to see the shy cat “the Leopard” mostly seen in this park before returning for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon we have some time to relax before embarking on our late afternoon game drive to try and capture what was not seen during the day before the dusk engulfs us. Dinner and Overnight stay will be at Lake Nakuru budget hotel.
Day 7: Lake Nakuru Safari tours / Masai Mara Joining Budget lodge/ Camping Vacation
Soon after breakfast, drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley the longest Rift in the crust of the Earth to Masai Mara Game Reserve the unspoiled Savannah arriving in good time for lunch and an afternoon dip in the pool. In the late afternoon, you will head out on your game drive into the Masai Mara where your chances of spotting the Big Five are very high. Dinner and overnight at Mara Leisure Camp or similar as outlined in the above day.
Day 8 and 9: Masai Mara Safari tours – Game Africa Kenya Masai Mara Joining group Camping/lodge vacation
An early morning birding cum game drive after breakfast will be our perfect start of another unforgettable and memorable birding days in Africa. With picnic lunch en-route you spend your day in Mara Plains trying to identify and record the over 450 species record in this reserve. Masai Mara is actually the northern portion of the Great Plains ecosystem in neighboring Tanzania called Serengeti. It is a home to the “big five” lion, buffalo, rhino, leopard and elephant as well cheetah, zebra, giraffe and vast herds of plain antelope and numerous and other wildlife.
As the sun starts to edge dip into the horizon it will be the perfect time to photograph the beautiful Mara rolling plains. Don’t forget this is the right time to spot the shy leopard. Dinner & overnight at MaraSentrim lodge / Mara leisure safari lodge / Mara sarova Stanley lodge or any of similar (BLD).
Day 10: Masai Mara National Reserve drive back to Nairobi
Depart Masai Mara in the morning and drive back to Nairobi with hot or picnic lunch en route, arriving in the afternoon. End of Safari tours with airport drop off.
