Day 1: Arrival Nairobi Airport (JKIA) – Game Africa Giraffe Manor

Upon landing at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport in Nairobi, you will be met and received by one of our Game Africa Safaris – tour and travel airport staff who will then connect you to your driver for a transfer to your Hotel. (GiraffeManor)  for the 11 am check-in.
Giraffe Manor was the home of the legendary Jock and Betty Leslie-Melville who rescued a baby giraffe named Daisy from a heavily-poached area of western Kenya in 1974 and dedicated their lives to seeing that the Giraffe survived.

Today, the Home is the household name among wildlife lovers across the globe and Daisy, a shining star in her own right.
Today, this mighty life-giving home has been opened to the world. A visit and stay here give you a feeling of being at the very best place to begin or end your African safari in Kenya.
This awesome and incredible promising home is in over 120 acres of untouched indigenous forest eight miles from downtown Nairobi Kenya set away from the flurry city of Nairobi.

The 1930s manor house is run by Betty’s great mind blessed son, Rick Anderson, and his wife Bryony, who has created the ultimate ‘home away from home’ with their rich blend of warm surroundings, welcoming staff, and delectable home-cooked cuisine.  This is the perfect place to experience Africa like a local.

Meals are definitely habitually interrupted by one of the manor’s celebrated four-legged residents, who poke their heads through the giant windows to politely request a titbit or two!
The house is five double bedrooms, faultlessly furnished in the style of their day, with large four-poster beds, traditionally furnished and striking Art Deco bathrooms.

Two of the rooms convert to a family suite, while the rear of the house has a large extension ideal for older children. One of the main bedrooms boasts the original furniture of Karen Blixen’s guestroom and is hung with exquisite wildlife paintings by her legendary cook Kamante.

Day 2: Giraffe Manor – Nairobi excursions – Game Africa Nairobi Safaris Elephant orphanage,  Mamba Village with an optional visit to  Nairobi National Park

Morning breakfast with the Rothschild’s Giraffe poking their heads through the window says a big hello in the morning later followed by a pickup driver for the Nairobi city excursions visiting the Elephant orphanage, the Mamba village and the bomas of Kenya for the taste of African culture and way of life. Optional dinner at carnivore restaurant.

DAY 3 and 4: Nairobi Giraffe manor to Solio ranch Game Reserve – Game Africa Safari Tour  Laikipia Region.

After breakfast with the giraffes, Game Africa Tours and travel private guide with pick you up and transfer you to the airstrip for the local flights (the Nairobi Wilson airstrip) for your flight north to the Laikipia Mount Kenya region Solio Ranch wildlife reserve.
Solio Game Reserve is a privately owned wildlife conservancy located in Kenya’s Central Province. The ranch is a fenced, privately owned protected area geared toward rhino conservation. The 17,500-acre reserve, 22 km north of Nyeri Town, It’s the premier rhino breeding sanctuary in Kenya
You will be met and received by your guide and follows a short game drive en-route to your stylish Solio Lodge with its beautiful cottages.  This will be your home for the next 2 nights. Enjoy a wide range of activities including night and day game drives. Seeing so many rhinos, both black and white, is a real highlight of a stay here. Other wildlife includes lion, cheetah, and leopard among others giving you the best of East African Kenya Big five safari encounters with a lot of ease in the Laikipia Plateau.

DAY 5 and 7: Fly from Solio Game reserve to  Masai Mara Safari – Game Africa Flight Safari Tours

Morning breakfast at leisure followed by a pickup and drop off to the airstrip for your flight to Sala’s Camp in Masai Mara game reserve, accessed by light aircraft to the Masai Mara Keekorok airstrip.
You will find your driver guide waiting; pick up followed by a mini game drive to your intimate luxury tented camp located just a short game drive to the famous Mara River. On your way to the camp, you will be able to see lots of Wildlife including the elusive leopard, cheetah, lion, rhino (black & white), lions (babies too), zebra, giraffe, mongoose, hyena, jackal, tons of elephants with babies just to mention few. The camp is located right at the Migration corridor and center of the wildebeest migration routes that lie in a shaded forest on the convergence of two rivers, with views towards the Northern Serengeti National park in Tanzania.

DAY 8: Game Africa  Safaris from Salas camp to Nairobi – End of Wild race Luxury Flight safari package in Kenya.

Today you will fly back to Nairobi Wilson where a lovely day room at elegant Hemingway’s in Nairobi will be waiting for you for the rest of your day relaxation before being transferred to the airport for your onward travel.
